The Kwahu Afram Plains South District Assembly Chief Executive Evans Kyei Ntiri as part of his schedules payed the Forifori Prison Camp a working visit on Thursday, 17th March, 2022.

He was accompanied by the District Co-ordinating Director, District Human Resource Manager, District Budget Analyst, District Planning Officer and the Administrative Officers.

The visit was commenced with a National  Anthem which was followed by an inspection of parade with Chief Supt. Quashing, commander of the camp.

Chief Supt. Quashing in his remarks thanked the DCE and his entourage for the visit. He stated that the Forifori Prisons camp was established in the year 2003 and started its operations in 2005. He added that since the operation, the camp has taken up the challenge to do some few projects.

Hon. Evans Kyei Ntiri in his statement stated that Government’s main interest and premium was to seeing offenders reformed, rehabilitated and add value to their lives as they return to the society as law abiding citizens.

He reiterated Governments commitment to building the capacity and re-orienting the Prisons Service to deliver on its constitutional mandate to meet international best standards of correctional practice. 

Hon DCE ended the visit by inspecting some projects and structures of the Prison camp.
