The District Chief Executive for Kwahu Afram Plains South in the Eastern Region, Hon. Ofori George has commissioned a 3 – unit classroom block for Kwasi Fante Junior High School in the district.


Commissioning the project, the DCE said the project is in line with the government’s target of phasing out all schools under trees in the area.

Also, the ultimate goal of constructing the schools was to improve on the quality of education and make it accessible to every child of the school-going age within the district.

Mr. Ofori commended the communal spirit of the people and urged them to help initiate more development projects to improve their living standards.


He assured the people of the government’s commitment to the provision of their basic needs and advised them to exercise restraint to allow the government to equitably distribute the national cake according to each community’s needs.

The DCE after the commissioning of the project said with the number of projects completed so far and those yet to be completed in the district, the development of the district was on track and urge all to support the government to deliver the promises.


The District Education Director, Mr. Mustapha Haruna, applauded the assembly for providing the school with such a facility including head teacher’s office and staff common room.

He said the directorate was on track to providing the enabling environment for effective teaching and learning, and indulge the student to put the facility into good use and maximize its benefits whilst maintaining it.

He encourages the teachers to work hard since they are the backbone of the success of the students.
