The Kwahu Afram Plains South District in collaboration with the Zoom Lion started a disinfection exercise at its major markets centers within the District on Saturday 4th April 2020. The exercise started from Tease, the District Capital and ended at Ekye Amanfrom after the disinfection of Maame krobo market being the biggest market at the District .
The Hon. District Chief Executive in an interview mentioned that the exercise was very useful since the spraying of the markets was going to help in dealing with the Covid-19 the Country and the world in general is fighting.
Hon George Ofori added that the District Assembly had supplied veronica buckets, hand washing bowls, soaps and tissues to vantage centers including markets,lorry parks/stations etc. in order to help in the avoidance of infections of Coronavirus.
He also stated to advice his people that since the markets are being disinfected they should still observe the protocols outlined by the Ghana Health Service to combat the Covid-19 which is washing of hands with soap under running water, social distances, using the hand sanitizer, etc in order to avoid the infection of Coronavirus.
The Hon DCE thanked all workers of Zoomlion for their great efforts and also applauded the markets leadership for their cooperation throughout the exercise.
He urged citizens to stay calm with no fear because His Excellency the President together with the Ghana Health Service is doing their best to end this pandemic…
