The District Chief Executive(DCE) of the Kwahu Afram Plains South District Assembly(KAPSDA), Hon. Evans Kyei Ntiri, has cut sod for the development of two projects in Maame Krobo. The DCE together with the traditional leaders of Maame Krobo, cut sod for the commencement of work on the modernization of the Maame Krobo Police Station and the redevelopment of the Maame Krobo market. The event which took place on the 3rd of July 2023, was attended by staff of the assembly, traditional leaders, officers of the Ghana Police Service and inhabitants of Maame Krobo.

Speaking at the ceremony, the DCE advised the stakeholders to give their optimal support to the contractors to help them execute a good work. He stressed the importance of the redevelopment of the police station into a modern infrastructure in order to aid the police service in the execution of their duties to the inhabitants of Maame Krobo and its environs. The redevelopment of the Maame Krobo market, one of the biggest markets in the district, is to ensure a conducive environment for both traders and customers. Hon. Evans Kyei Ntiri stressed the need for managers of the facility to do due diligence in completing the project as scheduled.
