- Human Resource
The department of human resources is mainly responsible for managing, developing capabilities and competencies of staff as well as coordinating human resources management programmes to efficiently deliver public services.
The Head of Department is Mr. John Akakpo
Functions include:
- Ensures effective and efficient administration of human resources;
- Ensure the regular updates of staff records;
- Ensure the general welfare of staff;
- Report on human resources related activities;
- Ensure the development of the capabilities, skills and knowledge of staff
- Ensure inter and intra departmental collaboration to facilitate staff performance and development;
- Draft job description and coordinate staff performance management system;
- Ensure human resource planning, facilitate recruitment of competent personnel and maintenance of good working interaction;
- Ensure that institutional policies in respect of employment, personnel, wages and salaries are translated into good management practices;
- Gather and collect data concerning human resource needs
- Review human resource policy of the District; and
- Appraises direct report
